Hi, this is Robin from Pacific Rim Web Design.
I’d like to introduce our Squarespace 7.1 Template “Paws in Motion.” This template is especially made for dog walking and pet sitting services. It has a bold modern design and was created to feature your love of dogs and knowledge and expertise in what you do.
Here’s a quick tour of the website and its features:
In the header section there is a spot for an image logo, or a text based logo, and the header layout can be customized in various ways.
The home page is divided into a hero image and text, a section to show case your business philosophy. Then there’s a section that contains images of the dogs you walk, followed by a mission statement-like section that uses an accordion and then there is a section for testimonials. At the bottom there is an Instagram section, that could also be used just to place some more images of your client’s happy dogs.
The footer contains an email newsletter signup that you can connect to Mail Chimp or Squarespace’s own email marketing system.
There are strategically placed call to action buttons and links, to lead the website visitor to more information on the inside pages or to book a walk.
The home page has all that is necessary to give basic information about your business and pique the interest of website visitors and bring them to the inside pages of the website.

Video Tour Squarespace Template Basics and How to Sign Up
Once you purchase a template, you’ll receive a confirmation of your order via email and a second email that contains a link to a PDF digital download. The PDF download will let you know the details of getting your template, what to expect next, and will also contain a link to the Squarespace Template Basics Course.
The link will bring you to a signup page where you can sign up for the Squarespace Template Basics Course.
Click on the SUBSCRIBE and fill out the information. You’ll notice that if you already have an account, you can also sign in. Usually you’ll log in from the button on the main menu of pacificrimwebdesign.com. Lets go ahead and fill in the information.
Once you enter the information, you will immediately be brought into the course, and you’ll notice that in the navigation menu Login has changed to Account.
Click on Account.
You’ll notice your name and then beneath your name there’s link to sign out.
Click on digital products to see any courses you’re taking.
Click on View to access the course.
You can also see any orders you’ve made, any payment methods, addresses, and your profile.
Under Profile you can update your password. [pause]
If this is the first time you’ve signed up an Account, you will receive a verification email. Be sure to go to your email to and click Verify Your Account.
You will also receive an email welcoming you to the Squarespace Template Basics Course and providing you a login link to go into the course, and an email to confirm your subscription to our email list.
Now let’s sign out and see how you’d normally be accessing the course.
Usually you’ll be logging in from the main menu of Pacific Rim Web Design. If you’ve forgotten your password you can get a new password here.
Sign in and you’re brought to your account page, click on Digital Products and then on View under Squarespace Template Basics.
Now you’re back in the Course Overview Page.
Let’s take a quick look at what the course has to offer.
First there’s some welcome information and info on how to create a support ticket. Don’t worry, this is not the only spot where there’s a link to support, just look on the bottom of each lesson page there’ll be a link to the Support Page.
The videos are divided into different sections from “Get Prepared” which includes how to copy your website, how to download Canva Assets, how to prepare images and text and a little about SEO and then goes into an overview of Squarespace and goes through all aspects of customizing your template to launching your website.
Press START COURSE and you are brought to the first lesson.
You can now view videos and read information under each lesson, and there’s a link to the support page.
After you’ve finished a lesson, click on COMPLETE and CONTINUE and you will be brought to the next lesson.
On the upper right side click on the List Icon
Here you can see what lessons you’ve completed, and you can also click on the circle next to a lesion to show that you’ve finished it.
And there’s a progress bar on the top to let you know what percentage of the course you’ve completed.
If you would like to go back to the Course Summary page, click on Account, Digital Products, and then View under Squarespace Template Basics, and you’ll be brought there.
On the Course Summary page you can also see your progress.
To continue on to the next lesion just press Continue Course.
